Broken Ring

While most were celebrating Valentine's Day and some boycotting it, I instead found that my wedding ring had cracked. It started as a hairline crack. Then I took it off to see how bad it was and it just crumbled apart.

This was very likely because I never took my ring off, even when I went to the gym. It never happened to my other ring... but that's probably because the other one was a gold ring and gold is malleable. This is white gold and it couldn't sustain my body weight when I did chin-ups or when I did 60kgs deadlifts.

I quickly dropped an e-mail to Poh Kong enquiring if it could be fixed. Within a few hours I got a response stating that it could be fixed at any of their branches. The following day my wife took it to branch located at AEON Jusco and had it fixed in an hour, FOC. Impressive.

The ring fixed... acceptable for FOC. Maybe we'll send it in again one of these days for reshaping and re-plating. My wife and I choose not to succumb to any superstitions... whatever it may be. Our future lie in our hands with Allah's blessings.

Gong Xi Fa Chai

Wishing all readers who celebrate,
Gong Xi Fa Chai!

My apologies for the extended absence. I have been very busy since my last post. I have to earn a living since blogging is not going to pay the bills. I have only earned RM70 so far for the  advertisement hits.

Busy, really busy and tired! I had to be in KL on the 22nd of Jan for my court case. Then on the 26th I had to travel up to Kangar to visit my wife's grandfather who met with an accident. Came back the very next day. Then on the 31st, had errands to do and traveled to Ipoh. From Ipoh headed to KL for a meeting with the bosses and other key managers. On the 7th I had to travel back to KL again to see one of the owners. All in, I have traveled in excess of 2000 kms in the past 3 weeks! And there's more to come. I have to be back in KL again on the 22nd of Feb for my court case again. Sigh! I hope it ends soon.

Anyway, how's the year of the Snake for you? As for me, here are a couple of excerpts...

"There is a Travel Star appearing in the year of Snake. The Travel Star implies the busy schedule of your job position. So Pig people might have more workload than before. They might have to work extra hours or have to work out of town. A new job assignment required traveling or relocation are possible. If you complain it, then you won't be happy during working hours or someone else will take over your responsibility. Either you change a new boss or new company, the new position still keep you busy."

"Travels are seen this year. At work, you might have to do extra work, but don’t expect pay in return. You need to concentrate on work. Your finances are going to get affected by a bad star this year. Your fortune area has no star, which indicates that you can create your own destiny this time."

Hmmm... ever since I was promoted and transfered to Kuantan in 2007, my 'job span' has never exceeded 18 months. I was in Kuantan for 17 months. Then transfered to KL and I stayed there for 14 months. I left the company, but it lasted only 7 months and that's why I have to go to court so often; seeking outstanding salaries owed by the previous company. Due to short of time and funds I made a comeback to my current company. The assignment I was given was supposed to be for 2 years or more but I was moved after 16 months. I am now on my 13th month here and my horoscope states that there will be change this year for me.

I know for a fact that there will be 'change' for me this year or early next year at the latest. That has always been the plan when I was moved here. The questions are... "What kind of change?" and "When will the change happen?"... "Will it exceed the record of 17 months or will it be soon?"
